Tara Gurung is a multilingual advocate at Monsoon Asians & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity, an organization serving victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Iowa. She is from the Nepali community and grew up in India. She migrated to the United States in 2013. She speaks Hindi, Nepali and Gurung (her native language). She started working for Monsoon last March 2019 and mostly work with victims/survivors from the Nepali community. She loves embroidery, dancing, listening to songs, and travelling.
