“Interwoven” is a play exploring geographical, physical, historical and spiritual borders and a sense of belonging as immigrants, refugees and migrants. The play was performed by Monsoon advocates and is based on their stories of individual and collective experiences. The narratives were intended to foster critical thinking and applications in equitable public health. “Interwoven” was performed as the keynote session at the two-day Public Health Conference of Iowa on March 28 at the Scheman Building in Ames.
