La Paw is a multilingual advocate at Monsoon Asians & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity. La is from the Burma (Karen) community and speaks Karen. She was born in Burma in the late 1990s then immigrated to Thailand in the 2000s. Later in 2014, she immigrated to the United States and has since lived in Des Moines, Iowa. La began studying at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) in 2018. In fall of 2022, she joined Monsoon as a multilingual advocate.
