Join us for a Midwest Day of Action to #StopTheRaids on Friday, February 18th as part of the National Week of Action to End Southeast Asian Deportations!
Last week, we heard terrifying news that ICE plans to begin arresting some Cambodian community members and resume deportations to Cambodia in mid-February. These are our partners, siblings, friends, and neighbors.
Since 2017, the US government has also issued visa sanctions on Cambodia to pressure the county to issue travel documentation for people who the U.S. wants to deport. These visa sanctions continue to lead to more deportations.
Fight back with us! We demand that the Biden administration & ICE:
- Immediately instate a moratorium on deportations
- Lift the U.S. visa sanctions on Cambodia
Join us at the start of the hour anytime from 10am – 4pm CT (10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm) to gather virtually in community to make phone calls and start our social media flurry
