A Letter To My Body is a project originally created for Iowans to express how they feel about their bodies. Participants were invited to write their own letters to describe their bodily experiences, their hopes, their fears, and everything in between in writing workshops hosted by Monsoon. Letters were collected and then displayed anonymously in a traveling exhibit.
Previously, written letters were exhibited within the Monsoon offices and public displays shared within the community for visitors passing by. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the campus team shifted to holding virtual events and workshops to reach college campus populations. This website was created to provide access to visitors following the project. Visitors are welcome to explore the submitted pieces of art and writing as well as submit their own pieces!
