We invite community members to Monsoon’s very first Mothers of Monsoon (MoM) event! Audri Lu-Uhlken, Monsoon’s Community Health Outreach Coordinator, will lead the MoM support circles in Central Iowa, often with a guest speaker as a co-facilitator.
Abena Sankofa Imhotep, author and humanitarian-focused equity leader, and Brittney Marine, behavior health interventionist at Orchard Place, both mothers from the Black community, will share their experiences with their children.
Light snacks and beverages will be provided. Interpretation services provided upon request.
