Support for Arab Families in Iowa, a program under Monsoon Asians & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity invites you to Muslim Culture & The Law on November 8 from 10-11:30 am at the Franklin Avenue Library in Des Moines.  Noted attorney trained in Islamic law Aisha Rahman will speak on gender-based violence and the rights and challenges to cultural belief systems in Muslim communities.  This event is free and open to the the public. 1.5 hours of CLE accreditation in the State of Iowa is offered.  Arabic interpretation will be provided.  For more information, contact Lata D’Mello at lata@monsooniowa.org or at 319-466-9000.
