Many times people believe that if you don’t fit the pale, thin, blond-hair, blue-eyed physical standard, then you aren’t beautiful.  We are here to stop that belief, and to help redefine beauty beyond colonized ideals.  Join us for the 2nd Annual Anti-Fascist, Anti-Fashion: Decolonizing Beauty Fashion Show to help break away from the eurocentric ideals that we may be held to.  Hosted by Monsoon’s Youth Violence Prevention Program, Decolonizing Beauty will showcase a vast amount of cultural beauty often forgotten and lost in society’s beauty standards.  You will be treated to entertainment by North High School’s Ice Breakers, spoken word performances by members of Movement 515, complimentary snacks and refreshments, and a night full of talent, individuality and inspiration.

This event is FREE to the public.
