Soe Moe is a multilingual advocate at Monsoon Asians & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity, an organization serving victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Iowa. Soe Moe, who is from the Karen ethnic community, speaks fluent Burmese and Thai besides her native Karen language. She was born and raised in Thailand and came to the United States in 2008. Her work experience includes serving as an interpreter for refugee populations. She joined Monsoon in 2015. Soe Moe loves Thai drama and dancing. She can be reached at soe@monsooniowa.org.
