Over the past two years, Monsoon has continued to grow and deepen its work with victims/survivors, community members, and partners across Iowa. In 2023, we served 157 victims/survivors—and in 2024 (through mid-November), 144 more. Our outreach efforts expanded significantly, with nearly 450 events across both years.
From our Community Health team’s first annual Baby Gear Swap to the Mothers of Monsoon support circle and weekly Elder Learning Series, we’re proud of the creative, culturally rooted ways we support wellness and connection. Our Youth Program continues to thrive—reaching nine schools, leading youth-centered circles, and uplifting API voices through projects like Stirring the Pot, a food journal exploring identity through recipes and stories.
