Meet SAFI* Program Coordinator and Advocate, Ebtehal Alzakrooty! Ebtehal Alzakrooty came to the United States in 2014 as a refugee from Iraq. She works with victims from the Arab communities and conducts and oversees community outreach and education. Ebtehal has a bachelor’s degree in Public/International Relations from Baghdad University. She has previously worked in television production, and her experience includes news coverage, and writing and editing scripts for children’s shows and dramas. Besides raising her three daughters to be feminists, Ebtehal also likes making videos, reading and travel. She can be reached at ebtehal@monsooniowa.org.
